Spatial-Temporal Analysis of the Coastline Changes in Fujian Province, China from 1995 to 2015

Coastline is the connection line between land and sea, its extraction analysis are of great significance to coastal zone resources environmental protection. Using remote sensing Geographic Information Sysytem (GIS), coastline change from 1995 2015 in Fujian Province, China, was extracted. The temporal spatial evolution characteristics length, type location China were analyzed. length continued increase 1995.29 km 3555.036 km. overall intensity 2010-2015 highest, reaching 0.87%, followed by 1995-2000. smallest occurred 2005-2010. Based on changes six cities Zhangzhou City showed strongest change. Except for stability 2000-2005, that during other years larger. Fuzhou city with changes, which have remained balanced 25 years. Overall, rocky sandy generally show a downward trend, while artificial muddy an upward trend.
